Bhubaneswar: Ina significant achievement, KIIT-DU has been awarded the coveted overall 5-Star Rating by QS Stars, an internationally recognised benchmark for institutional excellence, thereby reinforcing its global standing.
QS is an international ranking platform, and this prestigious recognition follows a rigorous and comprehensive audit process facilitated by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of KIIT. The evaluation was conducted by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), assessing the university across multiple performance indicators aligned with global standards. According to the official QS Stars certificate, KIIT has been "Rated for Excellence" after thorough independent data collection and analysis of performance metrics.
KIIT demonstrated world-class performance across nine critical parameters, grouped into three major pillars: Teaching, Research, and Employability; Global Engagement; Facilities; Good Governance; Social Impact; Arts; and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
The QS Stars rating system is known for evaluating universities beyond traditional rankings, offering deeper insight into institutional strengths, diversity, and impact. The recognition places KIIT among an elite group of world-class institutions known for delivering quality education and fostering innovation.
Further strengthening its credentials, KIIT has also received the QS I-GAUGE Platinum rating, a top-tier recognition within India's university rating framework. KIIT is among the top seven universities in India to have attained this QS I-GAUGE status.
KIIT is also among the few universities in India to have secured impressive rankings in both THE and QS, surpassing many prominent universities in the country. From its inception, KIIT has consistently maintained the highest standards of quality and excellence. The university has been accredited by premier national bodies such as NAAC and NBA, reaffirming its academic credibility.
Notably, KIIT stands out as the only university in India to hold prestigious international accreditations from both ABET (USA) and Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), United Kingdom.
