Guntur: A life convict Srinivasarao, who was working at the petrol bunk inside the sub-jail in Sattenapalli, escaped from the premises on Monday.

The accused, involved in a murder case in Guntur, reportedly absconded from duty yesterday evening.

The jail superintendent Venkataratnam has lodged a complaint at the police station. Police have registered a case and launched search operations to trace the accused.
