Speaking to the media, the Minister clarified that the government has not yet taken a decision on which elections would be held first, indicating that the schedule would be finalised only after the voter revision process is completed.

Rejecting speculation of differences between the Congress government and the party leadership at Gandhi Bhavan, Ponguleti asserted that there was complete coordination between the two.

"There are no differences between the government and Gandhi Bhavan. The Congress is a vast organisation, and minor issues or differences of opinion are natural," he said.

The Minister remarked that what existed between the government and the party was only a "brothers panchayat," suggesting that the discussions were internal and should not be construed as a rift. "Everyone has his own opinion. It is not correct to describe that as a gap between the party and the government," he said.

Ponguleti said the recent coordination meeting held in New Delhi reflected the leadership's commitment to maintaining close coordination between the government and the party organisation.

Taking a swipe at the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the Minister said its leaders were under the mistaken impression that there were serious differences within the Telangana Congress.

"The BRS leaders are living under the illusion that something is wrong within the Congress. We would like them to continue in that state of delusion," he remarked.

The Minister said that a special session of the Assembly would be convened soon to pass a resolution seeking to lower the minimum age for contesting Lok Sabha and Assembly elections to 21 years, facilitating greater participation of youth in legislative bodies, as proposed by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud.
