Director Anshuman Jha creates an atmosphere of unease in the opening portions, making viewers eager to uncover the mystery behind the trunk. The single-location setting works for a while, helping build tension and creating a sense of claustrophobia. However, as the narrative progresses, the screenplay becomes increasingly repetitive and overly dependent on lengthy conversations.

The biggest issue lies in the storytelling. What begins as an engaging mystery gradually turns into a confusing and self-indulgent exercise. Instead of deepening the suspense, the film introduces several absurd developments that dilute its impact. The dark humor occasionally lands, but much of it feels forced and disconnected from the central plot.

The performances are among the few redeeming aspects. Rasika Dugal delivers a committed and convincing performance, while Arjun Mathur effectively handles the film's emotionally charged moments. The supporting cast also does their best with the material provided. Unfortunately, strong acting alone cannot compensate for a screenplay that loses focus.
