Adampur: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday said the registration has started for his government's ambitious 'Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna', under which women from general category will receive a monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,000 while women from Scheduled Castes will get Rs 1,500. Mann was addressing a gathering at a state-level event to mark Ambedkar Jayanti.

The state government early this month issued a notification for the implementation of this 'Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna'. "Today registration (for Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna) is starting in Adampur, Malout, Anandpur Sahib, Dirba, Sunam, Kotkapura, Moga, Batala and Patiala Rural," said Mann.
