Puttaparthi: Region3 of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council extended a warm welcome to RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, during its Regional Retreat held in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The retreat was organised under the theme, "One Sai, One Family, One Resolve-Unity in Devotion, Strength in Service."
The spiritual gathering brought together devotees from across the region in an atmosphere marked by devotion, unity, and service.
Inspired by the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the retreat focused on promoting love, harmony, brotherhood, and collective spiritual growth among participants.
Rathnakar participated in the retreat with humility and interacted closely with devotees throughout the event. He later visited "Krishna's Chariot," where devotees participated in the special "Selfie with Swami" experience, creating memorable moments during the programme.
The event commenced with introductory addresses by Dr Axay, Chair of Zone 1 of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, and Dr Balu Karanam, National President of the organisation in the United States.
Addressing an audience of more than 500 devotees, Mr Rathnakar spoke on the values and teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Through personal experiences and anecdotes, he highlighted the importance of unwavering faith, selfless service, and compassion towards humanity.
His address focused on spiritual discipline and the need to remain connected with the Divine through love and service. Devotees responded positively to the inspiring messages shared during the session.
As part of the programme, Rathnakar felicitated senior devotees, dedicated staff members, and office bearers associated with Bhagawan's organisations in recognition of their long-standing and selfless service. Organisers noted that his gesture of appreciation encouraged volunteers and devotees engaged in various service activities.
Despite a busy schedule, Rathnakar actively participated in workshops, Bal Vikas congregations, interactive sessions with senior devotees, and meetings with organisational officers. Participants described his engagement and simplicity as a source of inspiration throughout the retreat.
Organisers stated that Rathnakar's maiden visit to both the United States and Region 3 made the retreat a memorable occasion for devotees. The event concluded with devotees expressing gratitude for the opportunity to interact with him and for the spiritual atmosphere fostered during the gathering.
