The 103rd birth anniversary of legendary actor, former Chief Minister, and Telugu icon N. T. Rama Rao was celebrated with great respect and devotion at Film Nagar in Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Several film personalities, political leaders, family members, admirers, and fans gathered to pay floral tributes to NTR Garu's statue and remember his immense contribution to Telugu cinema and politics.
The tribute event was attended by Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation Chairman Bharath Bhushan, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna, actor and former minister Babu Mohan, Telugu Film Producers Council Secretary Tummala Prasanna Kumar, producer Bharadwaj, and members of the Nandamuri family including Mohana Krishna, Mohana Roopa, Seemanthini, and Deepika.
Speaking at the event, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna described NTR as a leader who brought global recognition to Telugu people through both cinema and politics. Nandamuri Mohana Krishna said NTR Garu worked tirelessly for the welfare of the poor and supported women's rights long before it became a larger social movement.
Former minister Babu Mohan emotionally recalled how NTR guided him into public life and inspired generations with his leadership and dedication to society. Tummala Prasanna Kumar stated that NTR had achieved "Pan-India" popularity long before the term became common in Indian cinema.
Several speakers also thanked the Telangana Government and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for unveiling a new NTR statue at Ameerpet in Hyderabad.
As part of the celebrations, food was distributed to more than 1,000 people, turning the occasion into a memorable gathering honoring the legendary Nandamuri legacy.
