Nandyal: The103rd birth anniversary of Dr Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), legendary actor, former Chief Minister and iconic symbol of Telugu self-respect, was celebrated with grandeur at Nandyal Collectorate on Thursday.
District Revenue Officer Ramu Naik, District Tourism Officer Vijayalakshmi, and senior officials paid floral tributes to NTR's portrait and recalled his monumental contributions to Telugu society, cinema, and politics.
Speaking on the occasion, DRO Ramu Naik described NTR as a towering personality, who left an indelible mark in both film industry and public life. He said NTR's extraordinary acting talent won the hearts of millions, while his people-centric governance as Chief Minister upheld Telugu pride and self-respect on the national stage. Naik highlighted NTR's iconic portrayals of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, noting that his powerful performances in mythological, folklore, and social films continue to inspire generations even today.
