Telangana Electricity Artisans Joint Action Committee (JAC) announced that the strike has been called off immediately following the Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka's directions to hold discussions with the TRANSCO CMD on their issues.
On Friday morning, JAC leaders met the Deputy CM at Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad.
Bhatti emphasised that employees must perform their duties in a manner that gains public appreciation. He pointed out that since there is a ban on strikes and with electricity demand reaching peak levels during the summer, it is not appropriate to resort to a sudden strike.
He reiterated that issues can be resolved through dialogue and assured that the government is considering the artisans' concerns from a humanitarian perspective. He also stated that the government is always open to discussions with Electricity Unions and is committed to resolving their issues.
The Deputy CM further said that the TRANSCO CMD Krishna Bhaskar will hold discussions with the Artisans JAC on issues that can be resolved without imposing financial burden, and efforts will be made to address their concerns.
