Association State President Nagavelli Suresh Kumar submitted a representation to Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy at his camp office in Balasamudram on Saturday.

He said barbers work in close contact with the public every day, making them vulnerable to infectious diseases and other occupational health risks. As they grow older, continuing the physically demanding profession becomes difficult, leaving many families without financial security.

Responding to the request, MLA Naini Rajender Reddy assured the delegation that he would take up the issue with senior government authorities and concerned officials.

He said he would strive to ensure traditional occupation-based communities receive greater benefits under the government's welfare schemes.
