Hyderabad:Tata Power has launched its EZ Home Solutions in Hyderabad, introducing a range of smart home technologies aimed at enhancing convenience, security, and energy efficiency for urban households.

The offering enables app-based control of lighting, climate, appliances, and security systems, allowing users to monitor and manage their homes in real time.

Designed for both new and existing homes, the EZ Home portfolio includes smart sockets, touch panel switches, motion sensors, and retrofittable converters that can be integrated without major electrical modifications.

The system also features built-in overload protection and intelligent automation to safeguard appliances from voltage fluctuations and optimise their usage. A key highlight is its ability to reduce energy consumption by around 15 per cent annually for a typical household. This can result in savings of over 1,300 units of electricity per year and lower power bills by approximately Rs10,000. Additionally, the reduced consumption helps offset nearly 1.1 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually, contributing to environmental sustainability.

The solution ensures uninterrupted performance with offline functionality, even during limited internet connectivity. Automation features such as scheduling and real-time monitoring help minimise unnecessary appliance usage, particularly in high-consumption devices like air conditioners.

The launch aligns with Hyderabad's growing demand for technology-driven living solutions and is part of Tata Power's '100 Cities, 1 Purpose' initiative, which aims to make smart, energy-efficient homes accessible across India, including Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
