Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka met with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss the state's development initiatives, including education, healthcare, rural infrastructure, and human resource development.

The meeting has now concluded.

During the discussions, Bhatti Vikramarka requested an additional ₹5,000 crore in special financial assistance under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI). He highlighted the extensive investments and welfare schemes being implemented by the Telangana government across various sectors.

The Deputy Chief Minister also appealed to the Union Finance Minister for an exemption from the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) limits for Externally Aided Projects (EAPs), particularly those approved by the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA). These projects include significant investments in education, such as the Young India Integrated Residential Schools (YIIRS).
