As per the related Reserve Bank of India report, Telangana's per capita income has increased to Rs 4.18 lakh from Rs 3.80 lakh in 2025-2026 financial year.

As per the RBI report, Telangana secured second position in the country, recording a growth rate of 10.23 per cent, compared to the previous financial year. The RBI has released a report detailing the GSDP and per capita income of states, excluding Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Kerala.

The report highlighted rapid growth in Telangana's GSDP and per capita income. Telangana's per capita income rose by Rs 38,900 over the figure of Rs3,80,031 recorded in 2024-25. The RBI revealed that Telangana's GSDP stood at Rs 16,14,771 crore in 2025-26, placing it seventh in the country. It represented an increase of Rs1,56,858 crore (10.75 per cent) over the GSDP of Rs14,67,913 crore recorded in the previous financial year (2024-25).

The Chief Minister said in a statement:" Since the Congress came to power in December 2023, Telangana is achieving new heights. We are India's top-performing states. Our per capita income for this year (2025-26) is Rs 4,18,931 per person; an increase from Rs 3,80,031 in the last year. We grew by 10.23 % in a single year, an increase of Rs 38,900", he said, adding that this was made possible through hard work, focus on economic growth, investments, jobs creation, balanced development across verticals, shift from ad hocism to policy-based governance, and lots of diligent work, constant reviews, attention to details, and constant engagement with stakeholders."
