The Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET-2026), conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) on behalf of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), registered an impressive turnout in its Agriculture and Pharmacy (A&P) stream held on Tuesday.

TG EAPCET-2026 Convener Dr. K. Vijaya Kumar Reddy, said that the forenoon session was conducted from 9 am to 12 noon. Of the total 30,391 registered candidates, 28,667 were present, marking a 94.33% attendance rate.

The overall attendance across three sessions held on May 4 and May 5 stood at 93.38%, with 90,977 candidates registered and 84,954 appearing. This reflects a strong participation rate, underscoring the importance of TG EAPCET as a gateway to professional courses in engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy streams across Telangana.

Senior officials including Prof. V. Balakista Reddy (Chairman, TGCHE), Prof. T. Kishen Kumar Reddy (Vice-Chancellor, JNTUH & Chairman, TG EAPCET-2026), and Prof. K. Vijaya Kumar Reddy (Convener, TG EAPCET-2026) were present during the initial configuration drive of the computer-based test, ensuring smooth conduct of the examination.

The zone-wise data reveals notable trends in attendance. Adilabad recorded the highest attendance percentage at 99%, with 99 out of 100 candidates appearing. Nizamabad (97.7%) and Mahabubnagar (97.8%) also reported strong participation. Hyderabad zones, which accounted for the largest candidate volumes, maintained attendance rates between 93.6% and 94.4%. Hyderabad I alone registered 7,783 candidates, of which 7,318 were present. Warangal followed with 3,256 registered candidates and 3,075 present, marking a 94.4% attendance rate.

Other districts such as Karimnagar (94.2%), Khammam (93.5%), and Sangareddy (94.7%) also reported consistent turnout, reflecting balanced participation across urban and rural centres.
