Hyderabad: The Malkajgiri Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions in view of the Telangana Formation Day celebrations to be held at Parade Ground, Secunderabad, on Tuesday.
The restrictions will be in force from 7 am to 12 noon. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is expected to attend the event. According to the police, traffic restrictions and diversions will be enforced on roads leading to Parade Ground and surrounding areas.
Commuters travelling from Begumpet towards Sangeeth Junction are advised to take the Paradise-Patny-Clock Tower-Sangeeth Junction route, while those heading towards Trimulgherry should use the flyovers via St. John's Rotary, Shenoy, AOC and Kendriya Vidyalaya. Alternative routes have also been suggested for traffic moving between Secunderabad, Bowenpally, Tank Bund and Trimulgherry.
Heavy vehicles, RTC buses and private buses have been advised to avoid the area during the celebrations. Only emergency vehicles will be allowed through the restricted zone.
Traffic moving from Sangeeth Junction towards Punjagutta may take the Clock Tower-Patny-Ghasmandi-Karbala-Tank Bund-Khairatabad-Punjagutta route. Commuters travelling from Secunderabad to Trimulgherry may proceed via Clock Tower, Sangeeth, St. John's Rotary, Shenoy, AOC and Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Those travelling from Secunderabad to Bowenpally may take the Clock Tower-Patny-Paradise-CTO-Bowenpally route. Traffic coming from Bowenpally towards Secunderabad may use the Brooke Bond-Tivoli-Sweekar Upkaar-YMCA route. Vehicles travelling from Tank Bund to Trimulgherry may proceed via Paradise, CTO, Tadbund, Diamond Point and Bowenpally Market. Commuters travelling from Trimulgherry to Tank Bund are advised to take the NCC-YMCA-Clock Tower-Patny-Ghasmandi-Karbala-Tank Bund route.
