Visakhapatnam: Satya Institute of Technology and Management conducted a day-long faculty development workshop on 'leadership styles and emotional intelligence.'
Led by A Chandra Mohan, Professor of Management, Central University of Tamil Nadu, the workshop included an engaging and experiential learning session. Through participative activities, Prof Chandra Mohan highlighted diverse leadership styles and emphasised the critical role of emotional intelligence in effective decision-making, team building and organisational success. O R M Rao, former GM (HR), RINL, shared valuable industry insights, stressing the importance of emotionally intelligent leadership in managing teams in dynamic corporate environments.
Diwakar, Director, DISC IAS Study Circle, underscored the relevance of leadership and emotional intelligence for both academicians and aspiring professionals, advocating self-discipline and adaptability. Addressing the gathering, Majji Sashibhushana Rao, director of SITAM, emphasised the need for such initiatives in strengthening faculty competencies and fostering academic excellence. DV Ramamurthy, Principal, highlighted the importance of adaptability, interpersonal skills, and emotional balance in teaching and administration.
The institution's management felicitated Sreelatha Karanam and G Sri Chandana from QIC for their outstanding achievement of being shortlisted among 3,000 candidates, from 67,000 participants across Andhra Pradesh, for the prestigious Quantum Algorithms Course by Wiser and Qubitech.
They were awarded cheques as a mark of appreciation. The workshop, exclusively organised for faculty, witnessed active participation and concluded with an interactive session.
