YSRCP demands CBI probe into DSC 'irregularities'

Nellore: The YSR Congress Party organised a large-scale rally in Nellore city on Monday, demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the mega DSC recruitment process.

Around 500 youth and unemployed aspirants participated in the rally, led by the party's youth wing, marched from VRC centre to the Collectorate. They raised slogans against the State government and large-scale irregularities in the conduct of Mega DSC examination.

Before starting the rally, party leaders paid floral tributes to Dr BR Ambedkar statue at VRC Center.

Addressing the gathering, MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy alleged that the mega DSC recruitment process had been marred by irregularities and that candidates had been severely cheated. He criticised the coalition government, accusing it of conducting the recruitment process without transparency.

YSRCP district president Kakani Govardhan Reddy demanded a judicial and CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities and stated that nearly 3.5 lakh candidates had suffered due to flaws and misconduct in the recruitment process.

Later, they submitted a memorandum to the District Revenue Officer demanding the government to order CBI probe over the issue.
