Hero Motors Company (HMC) presented its vision for future mobility at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The event, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, showcased India's advancements in the mobility sector, including contributions from HMC in areas like automotive components and last-mile connectivity solutions.
Growth in the Indian Bicycle Market
The e-cycle market in India is value at USD 1.2 billion and is growing at a CAGR of 9.94% and is set to witness a 50% boost in manufacturing capacity by 2026. While global adoption is advanced, India is rapidly catching up, with Tier 1 cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore driving double-digit annual growth.

The Bicycles market in India is projected to grow by 5.34% (2025-2029) resulting in a market volume of US$5200.00m in 2029. The Indian bicycle market has been showing moderate growth, influenced by factors such as increasing urbanization, rising health consciousness and the convenience of online bike sales.
HMC was established in 1956 and has been at the fore front of two wheeler manufacturing. They are working in partnership with ZFFoxconn, Sumitomo Corporation, Yamaha, and marquee clients including BMW, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Bosch and Stellantis. HMC Group is a conglomeration of 10 group companies engaged in six industries with 18 locations globally and generating an annual revenue of USD 710 million. At the expo, the company displayed products like chassis modules, rear hub motors, disc and drum brakes, and components for urban and rural transport systems.
