Kia India showcased Carnival Hi Limousine at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This version, distinguished by its high-roof design, is based on the new-generation Carnival.
It is the first time this model has been showcased in India in its updated form since the earlier generation's introduction at Auto Expo 2020.
Kia Carnival Hi Limousine: Exterior and Design
The kia Carnival Hi Limousine retains most of the design elements of the already existing new-generation Carnival. In terms of design, it gets a large front grille, four-piece LED headlights, connected LED DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, sliding rear doors and connected LED tail lights. What makes it different from the regular carnival is its high-roof body style, integrating a roof box on top.
Kia Carnival Hi Limousine: Cabin Layout and Features
On the inside the Kia Carnival Hi Limousine, the dashboard design is similar to the standard Carnival. However, the Hi Limousine is more about second-row experience, it gets individual screen controls for seat heating, ventilation, AC settings, cabin lights and curtains. Additionally, it gets two 12.3-inch displays (touchscreen and digital driver's display), an 11-inch heads-up display and electrically adjustable seats for both the driver and front passenger.
Kia Carnival Hi Limousine: Safety and Assistance Systems
In terms of safety, the Kia Carnival Hi Limousine offers eight airbags, a 360-degree camera, disc brakes on all four wheels, a tyre pressure monitoring system and Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with features like front collision warning and lane keep assist.
Kia Carnival Hi Limousine: Engine and Transmission
Globally, the Carnival Hi Limousine is offered with two engine options:
3.5-litre petrol: 290 bhp and 355 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
2.2-litre diesel: 191.3 bhp and 441 Nm, also mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
In India, the standard Carnival is already available with a diesel engine.
Kia Carnival Hi Limousine: India Launch and Competition
Kia has not confirmed the India launch of the Carnival Hi Limousine. If introduced, it will compete against the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM.
