Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has raised the curtains to showcase its most compact EV offering the VF3 in India at Auto Expo 2025. This micro EV debuted globally back in August 2023 and is well known for its affordability and urban-friendly design.
The VF3 is positioned as one of the smallest electric SUVs in the brand's lineup. It can be the brand's most affordable EV in India to rival the MG Comet EV.
VinFast VF3: Design
The VinFast VF3 sports a micro SUV like design with a chrome grille bar at the front, integrated with the headlights, a blacked-out bumper with plastic body cladding along its sides to give it a butch look in a super compact shell. At the rear it gets a V-shaped garnish extending into the taillights, along with a black rear bumper that matches the overall cladding.
On the inside it adopts a minimalistic approach, it gets a 2-spoke steering wheel, seating for four passengers, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, vertically stacked V-shaped AC vents with copper or contrasting yellow accents, front power windows, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, keyless entry, manual air conditioning.
It measures 3,190mm in length, 1,679mm in width and 1,622mm in height. It has a wheelbase spanning 2,075mm and 191mm of ground clearance. It sports 16-inch alloy wheels, foldable rear seats which increase the boot capacity to 285 liters.
VinFast VF3: Performance & Battery
The VF3 is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor that delivers 32 kW (44.10 BHP) and 110 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 50 kmph in 5.3 seconds, making it suitable for city commutes. The 18.64 kWh lithium-ion battery provides a company claimed range of up to 210 km on a single charge. It supports fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10 to 70 percent in just 36 minutes.
