New Delhi: Delhi Traffic Police on Thursday issued a traffic advisory for today's ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 match between India and Namibia at the Arun Jaitley Stadium (Feroz Shah Kotla Ground).

The match will be held from 5 pm to 12 midnight, and traffic restrictions will be in place in and around the stadium during this period.

Police have said that traffic congestion is expected as spectators arrive at and leave the stadium. Commuters are advised to plan their travel in advance and avoid roads near the venue if possible.

Roads with Traffic Restrictions

Traffic diversions and restrictions will be enforced on key roads from 5 pm to 12 am. Heavy vehicles will not be allowed on these stretches during match hours.

The affected roads include Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate up to the Kamla Market roundabout, Asaf Ali Road from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate, and Bahadur Shah Zafar (BSZ) Marg from Delhi Gate to Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk, on both carriageways.

Commuters passing through central Delhi during the evening are advised to take alternate routes.

Entry Gates for Spectators

Spectators entering the stadium have been advised to use specific roads based on their gate numbers.

  • Gates 1 to 8 are on the southern side of the stadium and can be accessed from Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg.
  • Gates 10 to 15 are on the eastern side, with entry from JLN Marg near the Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal.
  • Gates 16, 17 and 18 are on the western side of the stadium, and entry will be allowed from Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg near the petrol pump.

Parking Rules and Free Parking Locations

Free parking for spectators is available at Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road and Velodrome Road.

There will be no parking for the general public near the stadium, except for limited spaces meant only for vehicles with valid parking labels. Displaying the parking label on the windscreen is mandatory, and the vehicle number and mobile number of the driver or owner must be clearly written on the label.

Vehicles without valid parking labels will not be allowed near the stadium.

Parking for labelled vehicles includes P-1 at JP Park opposite Gate No. 3, P-2 at Vikram Nagar Parking near Shahidi Park, P-3 for two-wheelers near the JJB/Prayas office, and P-4 at the GLNS School (Deaf and Dumb School) near the JJB-Prayas office. Entry to these parking areas will be allowed only from the Vikram Nagar cut on BSZ Marg near Shahidi Park.

No Parking Zones and Towing Waring

Delhi Traffic Police has warned that no vehicle will be allowed to park on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, JLN Marg and Ring Road from Rajghat to the I.P. Flyover on match day. Vehicles found parked on these roads will be towed away and prosecuted as per law.

App-based Taxi Pick-up and Drop Also Available

For those using app-based taxis, pick-up and drop facilities will be available near Gate No. 2 at Maulana Azad Medical College on the BSZ Marg (ITO to Delhi Gate side) and at Rajghat Chowk.

Police have advised spectators to use Metro or public transport for a smoother and hassle-free journey. Commuters have also been urged to follow traffic rules and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed in the area.
