No For BJP: Sacked Cong Leader Sachin Pilot Gives A New Twist
In a new twist in the tale, sacked Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Monday stated that he is "still a Congressman". This statement came hours after Rajasthan's former Deputy CM held a series of talks with BJP bigwigs in Delhi including Jyothiaditya Scindia.
Opening up about the political crisis and chaos the state is going through, Sachin Pilot reiterated that he's not joining BJP. "Some leaders in Rajasthan trying to fuel speculation that I am changing my loyalties to BJP. That is not true, I have worked very hard to bring Congress back in govt in Rajasthan," said Pilot.
Sources confirmed that his talks with BJP failed while things started turning tough for him as Congress has issued fresh notices to rebel MLAs seeking their reply by July 17.
In the line of the new orders, MLAs including Pilot by Friday ought to explain why he should not be disqualified as the member of the legislative assembly.
On the other hand, it was learnt that all key Congress leaders including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have been in direct contact with Pilot sending him a series of messages through trusted emissaries like Surjewala, the Congress spokesperson.
Meanwhile, Former chief minister and senior BJP leader Vasundhara Raje is expected to arrive in Jaipur today to attend a crucial strategy session of the party.
