Over 30,000 Cases in Single Day: Caseload Shoots Past 9.3 Lakh-Mark
While states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat continued to report a spike in corona cases, India on Wednesday recorded yet another highest single-day spike. The country's caseload is now at 9,36,181 with 29,429 new positive cases across the country.
According to the recent reports from the Union Health Ministry, India now has 3,19,840 active cases, 5,92,032 cured/discharged/migrated. The studies revealed that the recovery rate among patients has increased to 63.20%. The recoveries/deaths ratio is 96.05 per cent: 3.95 per cent now.
On the other hand, the total fatalities in the country reached 24,309 including the 582 deaths reported in the last 24 hours. 1,24,12,664 samples tested for COVID-19 till 14th July, of these 3,20,161 samples were tested yesterday, stated the Indian Council of Medical Research.
Coming to the Telugu states, Telangana by Tuesday registered 1,524 positive cases. Greater Hyderabad, on the other hand, recorded the highest number of 815 cases so far. As many as 10 people succumbed to the dreadful corona in a single day while the total death toll has risen to 375. In Telangana, the total caseload rose to 37,745 till date.
Corona rampage continued in Andhra Pradesh, as the state noted 1,914 cases on Tuesday including 43 deaths. This brings the total number of cases in AP to 33,019 and the number of deaths to 408.
