T-Govt Vs PIB: KCR & Team Refutes Release Of Bulletin On Mismanagement
The discrepancies in testings, the number of beds in Corona Hospitals and the deployed containment strategies, has been the prick in the eye for Telangana government especially after High Court and the central government started probing. The situations took an interesting turn after Governor Tamilisai entered the scene urging the Union Minister to sanction all necessary equipment.
The flare has now touched the Press Information Bureau(PIB) which recently published an article pointing out the inefficiency of the state government. Accusing that the state government has been snubbing the basic medical protocol set by ICMR, PIB's article stated that patients with strong symptoms are also being instructed home quarantine.
In no time, Public Health Office, Telangana refuted back the statement terming it as absolutely baseless. Responding over the same, Telangana's Public Health Director Dr G. Srinivasa Rao stated that the article was a clear effort to tarnish the efforts of the state to contain the pandemic.
An official statement was also issued condemning the report which read- "The PIB ( Press Information Bureau ) COVID-19 bulletin of Government of India has falsely alleged the state of Telangana of COVID mismanagement. The PIB has resorted to blame game."
"The high court took stock of the situation and appreciated the efforts taken by the state in terms of testing, hospital preparedness and case management. Telangana has maintained and strictly followed all the protocols and SOPs of ICMR as well as Government of India," the statement reads. The statement also urged the citizens to ignore fake propaganda and stay alert.
