Three capital Flare: HC Accepts Amaravati Farmers' Petition Seeking Stay

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday allowed the petition moved by Rajadhani Rythu Parirakshana Samithi seeking a stay on the three capital bill passed by the Jagan government.

With all the doors closed, thousands of farmers across the 29 villages in Amaravati are now rolling up the sleeves for the ultimate legal battle against the state government.

Reportedly four petitions are filed by the committee as of Monday while seeking a stay on the implementation of the gazette notifications turns out to be crucial. The petitioner also requested the High Court to stall the shifting of the Raj Bhawan, Chief Minister's Office, High Court and state secretariat from Amaravati.

The legality of the reports of the expert committee led by retired IAS officer G N Rao and the high-powered committee comprising ministers and senior bureaucrats were also questioned in the petitions filed. The petitions will come to hearing in the afternoon session by a bench of three judges.
