    From free unlimited phone calls to extra data to no Fair Usage Policy (FUP) to free Amazon Prime subscription , companies have started to offer various offers with its broadband plans to take on Jio GigaFiber. Starting on August 15, other companies only have around a month to shuffle up their plans and offerings.

If Reliance Jio is able to achieve 50 million Jio GigaFiber home customers, the company can tap into a potential market of Rs 30,000 to 36,000 crore (considering Rs 500 to 600 per household).

    India has only 7 percent of 290 million households with fixed broadband and 180 million TV households.

    With Jio GigaFiber, Reliance Jio is also offering an add-on Jio GigaTV set top box connection. The Jio GigaTV will offer connectivity services like HD video and voice calling directly from your TV. With Jio GigaFiber, Reliance is also putting up a free Jio GigaTV connection at your home, which seems like a two-way affair.

    With its broadband service , the company is putting up its Jio set top box (STB) at your home for their next up DTH service.

    The company is already getting done with its last mile connectivity with putting up the connection at your home, and Reliance Jio can launch its Jio DTH service at anytime it wants. With the infrastructure ready, the Jio DTH services may launch anytime after August.

    Jio GigaTV - The Foundation For Jio DTH Services?

    With a Jio GigaFiber connection, the company is offering a free Jio GigaTV set-up. Jio GigaTV will offer ultra high-definition (UHD) entertainment on TV, HD video and voice calling, multi-party video conferencing, Google Assistant and Alexa support, VR gaming, digital shopping and much more.

    The latest Jio GigaFiber service will come with a Jio router, a Jio GigaTV set-top box, and a fixed-line phone, smart home automation and more.
