In a significant step towards strengthening rural entrepreneurship and women-led enterprises in the state, the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) has initiated an advanced capacity-building programme for Marketing Didis engaged in promoting self-help group products and rural businesses.

As part of the initiative, 40 Marketing Didis along with one State Coordinator departed for Guwahati on Tuesday to participate in a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on Marketing Skills at the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR).

The training programme aims to equip the participants with modern marketing techniques, communication strategies, branding methods, and market linkage skills to help strengthen rural enterprises and improve the visibility of products developed by self-help groups across Tripura.

Following the successful completion of the NIRDPR training, the participants will further undergo a specially designed Rural Marketing training programme at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.

Officials said the initiative undertaken by TRLM is expected to significantly enhance the professional capabilities of the Marketing Didis in areas such as branding, promotion, business development, customer engagement, and rural market expansion.

The programme is also aimed at empowering rural women entrepreneurs by creating stronger market access opportunities and ensuring sustainable livelihood generation through effective marketing support across the state.
