The Assam Rifles organised an outreach programme for ex-servicemen at Gurkhabasti in Agartala, aimed at strengthening its connection with the veteran community and recognising their service to the nation.
As part of the initiative, a medical health check-up camp was set up for ex-servicemen and their families. The medical team from Assam Rifles provided consultations, basic health screenings, and necessary healthcare assistance to attendees. The initiative received positive feedback from veterans and their dependents.
The programme also featured a band display by Assam Rifles personnel, presenting patriotic and motivational tunes that created an atmosphere of pride, camaraderie, and nostalgia among the gathering. Ex-servicemen from different parts of Tripura actively participated in the event.
Through the outreach initiative, Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of veterans and emphasized the importance of maintaining strong ties between serving personnel and the ex-servicemen fraternity.
