A stolen motorcycle was recovered in a border-adjacent area of Koyadhepa following coordinated efforts by local residents and police authorities.

The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Madhupur Police Station in the Jirania subdivision of Tripura.

According to reports, a motorcycle bearing registration number TR01AF9013 (Hero Honda Glamour) was stolen from the residence of Rakesh Debnath in the Jirania area on June 28 at around 2:00 a.m. The owner's family stated that the vehicle was parked in the veranda during a local religious gathering when it was taken without permission. A formal complaint was later filed at the local police station.

After nearly eight days of search and information gathering, the motorcycle was traced to a dense forested area near the Koyadhepa border region. Local villagers played a crucial role in locating and recovering the vehicle before handing it over to police officials. Authorities later verified the registration details and contacted the rightful owner.

The owner expressed relief and happiness upon receiving his recovered motorcycle on Monday at the police station. The incident has drawn attention in the area, highlighting concerns over recurring theft cases and cross-border smuggling routes in parts of Jirania. Police investigations are ongoing.
