One big wicket already walked out quite ferociously. One hasn't made any statement so far. And some bigwigs haven't even opened their mouths about the issue.
But then, it looks like the 20% to 40% percentage-sharing deal proposal from the first week's collections of movies isn't such a simple decision to be made. While some are towards it, some are against it. Then come the new things.
Already, when the film Peddi got exempted from all the percentage-sharing issues, some other big-shot producers whose big films are lined up for a release in the next 6 months are said to have expressed their displeasure. As the issue of Peddi leads them to Megastar Chiranjeevi, they don't want that clash, hence everyone agrees to it. Now that other big producers are worrying about their own movies, another 17 movies are demanding to be exempted from the percentage-sharing system, in case if implemented.
Now that 17 movies are asking for an exemption, many other producers are asking why their films should not get an exemption. This is what is happening inside. While Peddi is given an exemption, now other films are also asking. There are endless discussions happening on the same thing, but then, a consensus is not being achieved. If things continue like this, there might be a situation where everything will come back to square one.
On the other hand, some biggies who are said to have shown interest in resolving the issues are actually resolving it in a way that their interests will be served. For now, these updates are doing major rounds in Film Nagar, and we have to see what happens.
