Sandeep Reddy Vanga is an extremely original and dynamic filmmaker, who has his own style of film making. He has gotten a hold of this peculiar narrative style that engrossed a section of the audience.
However, the recent return of events have not been very promising for Sandeep at any level and this isn't a positive sign. First, it was the failure of his production venture Romanchakam. People did not expect such a lethargic and poorly narrated from Sandeep's production at this point in time. His judgement was well off the radar this time.
This was followed by something unexpected last night as he said he does not like the heroes in Sekhar Kammula's films. This might have been his sensibility within himself, but expressing it out loud against a reputed and sensitive filmmaker was not the best idea.
There is a lot of public backlash happening on social media and this adds to the existing social backlash against Vanga for backing a poor film like Romanchakam.
The hate has literally doubled up on Sandeep at this point in time, and the timing of this is extremely detrimental, considering that great things are expected from Spirit.
Even a couple of months ago, Sandeep was in top gear, and he had absolute everything going his way for Spirit. But these recent events have brought doubts on him and a section of social media are even calling for humbling experience for Sandeep soon.
But at the end of the day, Sandeep is an extremely talented commercial film maker, and he knows what to deliver to the audience. So there is every chance that he will put up his best possible work for Spirit.
