While this political success might be of great help to Vijay, who created an absolute political sensation in Tamil Nadu by becoming the CM in his first campaign, his personal life is in tatters.
It is already known that the wife of Thalapathi Vijay, Sangeetha had applied for mutual divorce at a family court in Chennai earlier, and she is actively fighting the case now. She revealed that Vijay has been in an extramarital relationship, and she wishes to separate from him.
Meanwhile, the latest developments are suggesting that Vijay's wife Sangeeta is contemplating the idea of launching her own political battle against her husband.
Apparently, the Tamil Nadu BJP party has already come in touch with Sangeetha and has offered her a significant position in the party if she wishes to join their ranks.
If Sangeeta actually ends up going to BJP, then this could be a pretty significant development in Tamil Nadu as she could very well come against chief minister Vijay. The fact that Vijay became the CM and his wife turned out to be his political opponent would be a cinematic twist.
