Bengaluru: A 22-year-old woman from Assam has been reported missing from Bengaluru for the past week, prompting police in Assam to register a case and begin an investigation in coordination with the Bengaluru police.
According to her family, the woman is a resident of Harinchara village in Tamulpur district, near the India-Bhutan border. Her father said she had been working at a private company in Bengaluru for the past six months.
The woman was staying in a rented house in the city along with three other women.
Following a complaint lodged by her family on Friday, Assam Police registered a missing person case and have initiated efforts to trace her with the assistance of the Bengaluru police.
