Chennai: As the counting of votes for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections progresses rapidly, actor Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has overturned all calculations by maintaining a massive lead.
Following this surprise result, Pradeep Gupta, the chief of Axis My India, reacted by stating, "When we predicted that TVK would win, people laughed at our forecast." He added that their prediction has now been proven true.
Speaking to private media, Pradeep Gupta defended the accuracy of his organization's exit polls. "This isn't just luck; it's the power of data science. Other organizations couldn't grasp the pulse of the people. We visited every constituency and gathered public opinion. Political pundits and other agencies had mocked our forecast," he said.
Immediately after the elections, Axis My India had predicted that Vijay's TVK would win between 98 to 120 seats out of the 234 assembly constituencies. While many other surveys showed a lead for the DMK, Axis My India alone boldly predicted that Vijay's party could emerge as the single largest party or a kingmaker.
Gupta expressed confidence that this result marks the beginning of a new era in Tamil Nadu politics, with Chief Minister M.K. Stalin-led DMK likely to be pushed to the second position.
