Delhi all-rounder Ayush Badoni has received his first international call-up, joining the Indian squad for the remaining matches of the ODI series against New Zealand.

He replaces Washington Sundar, who has been ruled out due to a side strain.

The injury occurred during the series opener, where Sundar managed to bowl five overs before leaving the field. Although he later returned to bat and help guide India to a four-wicket victory, scans confirmed the strain, forcing him out of the series. Badoni will join the team in Rajkot ahead of the second ODI.

His selection comes as India manages several injury concerns, with Rishabh Pant (side strain) and Tilak Varma (groin) also currently sidelined.

India's updated squad for 2nd and 3rd ODIs: Shubman Gill (C), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul (WK), Shreyas Iyer (VC), Ravindra Jadeja, Mohd Siraj, Harshit Rana, Prasidh Krishna, Kuldeep Yadav, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel (WK), Ayush Badoni
