Bengaluru: During the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday at Chinnaswamy Stadium, thieves stole more than 20 mobile phones.
The Cubbon Park police station has registered a case in this connection.
The thefts took place as spectators were leaving the stadium. Some victims visited the police station in person to file complaints, while others submitted reports online through the e-Last portal. Most thefts were reported near Gates 1, 2, and 3. Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspects.
Despite the thefts, the city police were praised on social media for ensuring smooth traffic and maintaining security during the match.
