Statements supporting this project were previously made by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of State V. Somanna, and MP Captain Brijesh Chowta. Now, with the trial run scheduled, this long-standing dream is close to fulfillment.

If the trial run is successful and meets all safety standards, official operations of the Vande Bharat Express on this route will commence shortly. The final timetable and official halts will be confirmed thereafter.
