Mangaluru: A vessel named Leela Jamnagar carrying 2.7 lakh metric tonnes of crude oil has arrived at the New Mangalore Port from China.
The ship arrived from the Port of Zhoushan in China and the crude oil is expected to be supplied to the underground oil storage facility of the Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited (ISPRL) in Mangaluru.
Meanwhile, another vessel, Al Ain, carrying 19,600 metric tonnes of LPG, has also already arrived at the port.
In addition, the vessel Desh Bhakt is scheduled to arrive on April 3 carrying 63,171 metric tonnes of Rajasthan's Mangala crude oil for Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL).
On April 5, another vessel named Jag Vasant is expected to arrive with 9,500 metric tonnes of LPG for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Indian Oil Corporation and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
A large vessel named Gabon Prosperity carrying 2,75,021 metric tonnes of crude oil for Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited is also scheduled to reach Mangaluru on April 5.
