Belthangadi: In connection with the case regarding alleged secret burials in Dharmasthala village, DNA testing has confirmed the identities of three individuals among the skeletal remains recovered during the Special Investigation Team (SIT) search operation at Banglegudde.
SIT officials submitted a final report to the Belthangadi court on July 15, mentioning the DNA identification of the three persons.
The individuals identified through the DNA tests are U. B. Aiyappa (70) of T. Shettigeri village in Virajpet taluk, Kodagu district; Adishesha Narayana (27), a resident of Dasarakallahalli in Gubbi taluk, Tumakuru district; and Krishnappa (85) of Meesaganahalli in Srinivaspur taluk, Kolar district.
All three had gone missing, and missing person complaints had been registered at local police stations for two of them. Following the confirmation via DNA testing, respective family members can claim the skeletal remains through due legal procedures by submitting a request to the SIT.
