Bengaluru: Actor Kiran Raj, who gained popularity through television and is now making a mark in films, is set to appear in an action-packed role in his upcoming Kannada movie Sherr.
The film is scheduled for release on May 15.
Directed by Prasiddh and produced by Dr Sudarshan Sundarraj, the movie features Kiran Raj in the lead role along with Surekha, Krish, and Tanisha Kuppanda. The trailer of the film was recently released.
Speaking about the film, director Prasiddh said this is his third directorial project. He stated that Kiran Raj will be seen in a role different from his previous performances. The film, though based on a simple storyline, includes several engaging elements. It focuses on the life and struggles of orphaned children. Krish Rodricks, the producer's son, plays the antagonist, while Tanisha Kuppanda appears in a police role. The regional censor board has given the film an 'A' certificate.
Actor Kiran Raj said he has portrayed an orphan in the film and described it as a crime-action thriller. He added that the film is expected to appeal to audiences.
Producer Dr Sudarshan Sundarraj said he is a lawyer by profession and started the production house along with his brothers for his son. He confirmed that the film will release on May 15 and will be distributed by KRG Films.
Members of the cast, including Surekha, Tanisha Kuppanda, and Krish Rodricks, also shared their experiences of working on the film.
