Ballari: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted another search at the house of arrested accused Abdul Salam in Kaul Bazar area of Ballari in connection with an ongoing investigation.
According to officials, the NIA team arrived in Ballari as part of its probe into a case registered in Andhra Pradesh's NTR district.
The case was registered against Rehmatulla Sharif of NTR district over allegations of promoting radicalisation and religious extremism online and having links with a banned terrorist organisation.
Investigators said Abdul Salam, a native of Ballari, was allegedly associated with Rehmatulla Sharif. He was arrested on March 26 in connection with the case.
As part of the continuing investigation, the NIA team revisited Abdul Salam's residence and reportedly seized a mobile phone believed to be linked to the accused.
