Bantwal: Six college students from a college on the outskirts of Mangaluru were injured after a car reportedly went out of the driver's control, hit a divider and overturned at Ramalkatte near Thumbe around midnight on Wednesday.
The injured have been identified as Sujan, Vinay, Hemanth, Jaison, Raksha, Deeksha, Bhoomika, Lepana and Ivish. Police sources said all the students escaped danger with minor injuries.
The accident occurred when the students were travelling together in a car towards B.C. Road.
According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to hit the divider and overturn.
The injured students, including the driver, were immediately shifted to Thumbe Hospital, where they were given first aid. They were later moved to a private hospital in Mangaluru for further treatment.
A case has been registered at the traffic police station.
