Manipal: A student was booked for allegedly trying to photograph and circulate the JEE Main question paper during the examination at a centre in Manipal on Sunday (April 5).
The accused has been identified as Aridaman Singh Sang from Uttarakhand. A case has been registered at Manipal Police Station.
Incident details
The JEE Main examination was conducted at TMA Pai Polytechnic College in Manipal. As per rules, candidates are allowed to carry only valid identity proof such as Aadhaar card or PAN card along with the admit card.
Police said the student was writing the exam at Lab A, seated at system number C-018. During the exam, he allegedly used a mobile phone to take photographs of the question paper displayed on the computer screen.
He is suspected to have attempted to send the images outside the exam hall for circulation.
Case registered
Following the incident, a case has been registered at Manipal Police Station. Further investigation is underway.
