Confusion has arisen over the declaration of First PU results amid the ongoing Second PU examinations due to technical issues in the SATS (Student Tracking System) software.
While the pass criteria for both First and Second PU were similar in previous years, this year the Second PU rules were revised. Students must secure a minimum of 30 marks in each subject and 33 per cent overall to pass.
The change in grading standards has created complications while entering marks into the SATS system. While some institutions have completed the process smoothly, others are facing technical difficulties.
Though evaluation has been completed and results are expected by March 31, several colleges have reported issues in uploading marks. PU department officials have assured that the problem will be resolved soon.
