Mumbai: An unexpected incident occurred when Bollywood star couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt stepped out with family on Sunday evening.
A video related to the incident has gone viral on social media.
The couple had arrived for a special screening of the film Dadi Ki Shaadi, featuring Ranbir's mother Neetu Kapoor and sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. During the event, paparazzi reportedly crowded excessively, which left Ranbir visibly upset.
Several videos from the special screening held in Mumbai on Tuesday (May 5) are circulating widely online. In one clip, photographers can be seen surrounding the couple as soon as they stepped out of their car. Disturbed by the situation, Ranbir appeared to momentarily lose patience.
Turning towards the photographers, Ranbir said, "You want photos, right? Come on," urging them to give space and allow him to pose calmly. Following his reaction, photographers can be heard asking each other to "move back," eventually creating space.
As the video of Ranbir's reaction went viral, social media users largely supported the actor. Many questioned whether photographers could not maintain a respectful distance from celebrities. Netizens also criticised such behaviour for invading personal space.
Ranbir Kapoor is currently preparing for the release of his much-anticipated film Ramayana, the first part of which is expected to hit theatres during the Diwali festival this year.
