The examination began at 10.30 am, with candidates being allowed into the centres only after thorough screening.

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has imposed a ban on electronic gadgets inside examination centres to ensure a transparent and malpractice-free examination process.

Candidates who arrived at the centres from early morning underwent detailed security checks before being permitted to enter. Every candidate was screened using metal detectors, and video recording of the verification process was carried out. Many candidates were seen leaving their bags outside the examination centres before entering.

All arrangements completed

Deputy Commissioner Pandwe Rahul Tukaram said the district administration had completed all necessary preparations for the Civil Police Constable recruitment examination.

Speaking to reporters, he said 7,978 candidates were appearing for the morning session at 19 centres, while 6,489 candidates would write the afternoon session at 15 centres across the district.

The morning examination is being conducted from 10.30 am to 12 noon, while the afternoon session will be held from 4 pm to 5.30 pm. Candidates have been instructed to report to their respective examination centres at least two hours before the commencement of the examination.

The Deputy Commissioner said CCTV cameras have been installed in all examination halls, and webcasting arrangements have been made. Jammers have also been installed, and all necessary security measures have been implemented to ensure a transparent and fair examination process.
