KNR Constructions JV bags ₹3,361 crore order for coal mining works in Chhattisgarh

Infrastructure development organisation KNR Constructions' joint venture, KNR-SIML, has received a ₹3,361.11 crore order from South Eastern Coalfields at Kusmunda OCP in Chhattisgarh on an item rate basis for 2,920 days.

The order is related to coal mining works.

In the JV KNR-SIML, KNR Constructions holds 51% and Sushee Infra & Mining 49%. The project, according to an exchange filing dated June 6, involves hiring HEMM (excavators, tippers, dozers, motor-graders and water sprinklers) for excavating soft soil not needing drilling above all coal seams D, E&F, UK, LK and LK(B) loading into tippers, transportation and unloading of excavated material and silt.

The JV will also be responsible for excavating all kinds of hard strata. It will also hire suitable capacity with inbuilt water spraying arrangements for the suppression of coal dust for mechanical excavation and deployment of dozers on a hired basis for the removal of ridges and left-out coal/coal measure strata while working the coal seam in the mine.

The company will also hire a payloader for the mechanical loading of coal into tippers. It will also sign up tippers for transportation of coal.

KNR Constructions share price

Shares of KNR Constructions were trading 3.35% lower at ₹125.69 apiece on the NSE on Monday, June 8, at 3:05 pm. Its market capitalisation stands at ₹3,540.74 crore.

The stock had hit its 52-week high of ₹245 per share on June 26, 2025, while its 52-week low of ₹108.65 apiece was recorded on March 27, 2026.

In the past week, the stock has declined 2.33% and 4.58% in a month. Year-to-date, it fell 22.06%.

KNR Constructions Q4 results

The company had reported a 23.72% decline in its consolidated net profit to ₹106.2 crore in the March quarter of the financial year 2025-26, compared to ₹139.23 crore a year back.

Its revenue from operations slipped 28.67% to ₹695.59 in Q4 FY26 as against ₹975.21 crore in the year-ago quarter.
