Top gainers and losers: Indian equity benchmark indices, SENSEX and NIFTY50, closed flat with a positive bias, recovering from their day's lows, on Thursday, June 4, amid mixed global cues.

The SENSEX slumped by as much as 0.7% to reach an intraday low of 73,807.30, while the NIFTY50 touched the session's low of 23,247.30.

On June 4, the SENSEX closed 13.84 points, or 0.02%, higher at 74,360.01. Meanwhile, the NIFTY50 gained 10.95 points, or 0.05%, to end at 23,416.55.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

The NIFTY50 pack was led by buying in the shares of Titan Company, which closed 3.67% higher.

It was followed by Eternal (3%), Cipla (1.95%), Coal India (1.84%) and Adani Enterprises (1.79%), which were among the other top gainers.

On the contrary, Infosys closed in the red (-1.49%). The other top losers included Hindalco Industries (-1.21%), SBI Life Insurance Company (-1.19%), Bajaj Finserv (-1.12%) and UltraTech Cement (-0.91%).

NIFTY Midcap 100 top gainers and losers

NSE's midcap index, the NIFTY Midcap 100 gauge, closed at 60,966.65, reflecting a 279.45 points or 0.46% increase.

The top winners included Hitachi Energy India (4.28%), Voltas (3.95%), GMR Airports (3.61%), Adani Total Gas (3.50%) and Page Industries (3.45%).

Shares of GMR Airports advanced after Goldman Sachs Trust II-Goldman Sachs GQG Partners Intl Opportunities Fund sold 16,27,45,207 shares of GMR Airports at ₹97.75 per unit in a bulk deal on June 3, of which 14,92,50,100 shares were bought by FMRC Fidelity Advisor International Capital Appreciation Fund at the same trade price.

In a separate block deal, US-based investment firm GQG Partners sold a 1.8% stake, or 19,50,00,000 shares, in GMR Airports, to Fidelity International, at ₹97.57 per unit aggregating to ₹1,906 crore through open market transactions.

On the other hand, National Aluminium Company (-5.30%), BHEL (-4.65%), Patanjali Foods (-4.02%), Steel Authority of India (-3.64%), and PB Fintech (-2.9-%) were among the top winners.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 top gainers and losers

NSE's smallcap index, NIFTY Smallcap 100, ended at the 18,121.05 level during market closing, up by 89 points or 0.49%.

The top gainers included Physicswallah, which closed 15.66% higher, after the company partnered with multiple third-party non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) to enable student lending requirements.

It was followed by Anant Raj (7.94%), Himadri Speciality Chemical (6.30%), Force Motors (6.05%) and IIFL Finance (5.69%), which were among the other top gainers.

On the contrary, Meesho (-6%), Zensar Technologies (-5.84%), Ather Energy (-3.33%), Swan Corp (-3%), and BLS International Services (-2.57%).
