A majority of renewable energy stocks, including Waaree Energies and Suzlon Energy, were trading in the negative territory on Thursday, June 18.

In contrast, Adani Green Energy shares were in green.

Waaree Energies share price

Shares of Waaree Energies were trading 0.51% lower at ₹3,063 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 12:30 pm.

On June 15, the company had bagged an order for the supply of 800 MW solar modules from a renowned domestic customer, who is a leading energy solutions provider.

The company also received shareholders' approval on Monday to raise up to ₹10,000 crore via the issuance of equity shares on a qualified institutional placement basis.

Adani Green Energy

The stock of Adani Green Energy is up 1.24% to ₹1,483.90 apiece on the NSE. The company's market capitalisation (m-cap) stood at ₹2,44,210.34 crore.

The scrip had hit its 52-week high of ₹1,544.80 per share on June 9, 2026, while its 52-week low of ₹765 apiece was recorded on January 23, 2026.

The stock has gained 2.01% in the past week and 8.38% in a month. Year-to-date, it has surged 44.62%.

Suzlon Energy

Shares of wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy Ltd were trading at ₹58.66 apiece, down 1.05%, on the NSE.

Earlier this month, the company unveiled a clear ambition to become one of the world's most integrated renewable energy companies. By the financial year 2030-31, the company looks to expand its annual renewable energy sales fourfold to 10 gigawatts, grow its order book to 15 GW and scale its assets under management fourfold to 70 GW.

NTPC Green Energy

The stock was down 1% to ₹95.97 a unit on the NSE, with a market capitalisation of ₹80,875.91 crore.

Earlier this month, the company had announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, will develop a 250 MW solar power project integrated with a battery energy storage system on vacant defence land at Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur.
