Amazon and Flipkart may offer upto 1.2 million temporary jobs this festive season

Amazon India and Flipkart can offer up to 1.2 million new temporary jobs to meet demand related to buying products through ecommerce before Diwali next month.

Recruitment companies and executives said that this will be twice the number of people hired in last year's festive season. Some people said that during this season 2 lakh additional temporary employees may be needed. Walmart's investment, Flikart, has invested heavily in delivery service with product offering to attract festive shoppers. Sources said that the company wants that all back-end operation, including its last-mile delivery, is completed without any interruption.

TeamLease, which provides temporary employees to companies has said that due to Flipkart's investment, Amazon had to work hard to make it equal.
